Children and Safety Belts – Michigan Law as of July 1, 2008

In February 2008, an article was posted regarding this topic, essentially describing that if your child is age 4 or older, the law does not require a booster or car seat. This will no longer be the law as of July 1, 2008.According to the new law, children under the age of 8 must ride in a properly installed car seat or booster seat, unless 4’9″ tall.
